Relationship Advice for Any Relationship and Online Dating Advice
No matter how long a man or woman has been in a relationship, whether they are single and between relationships, dating, engaged, married or divorced, everyone can use some advice now and again. Even if the only relationship you are currently in is the one you have with yourself - the most important one of all.
All Relationships are Not Created Equal
You've heard the saying before that you can really only love someone else after you have learned to love yourself? We believe this is true and that is why we include a page for self-improvement and try to emphasize being the best person you can be - for yourself. Everyone else will simply benefit from your efforts.
If you are in a relationship but it is not a loving one that fulfills you, it may be possible that you should look inward first for how to improve the quality of your relationship.
If you are already introspective and apply the concept of self-improvement to yourself and your life, then it is quite possible that the source of what is bothering you truly lies within the relationship itself. And in that case, you have to figure out what it is that is bothering you and what to do next.
Of course, we do not know the specifics of any one relationship or situation. There can be thousands of reasons why a relationship is not fulfilling, does not feel right or does not work out.
We all know that not every man or woman we date will be the right person for us. Then again, it may be that special man or woman may be the right mate for us and all the relationsihp needs is a little help.
Online Dating Advice and Online Dating Resources
Online dating presents more opportunties to meet people but it also presents other concerns. We encourage meeting men and women through the various online dating services and matchmaking services available. But we encourage you to think of your safety first.
We do not wish to imply that online dating is not safe. In reality, it is probably safer than going out and meeting people at local bars and nightclubs.
We just want you to be aware of and acknowledge the realities that surround us and not ignore them. There are plenty of online dating resources to help protect you that are available to either confirm or eliminate suspicions or doubts that you may pick up from someone.
Online Dating Safety Tips
Before you make any promises to meet someone in person whom you met online, try to confirm their identity. Women in particular should consider having a background check performed on the information gathered from dating profiles or personals.
If you are not comfortable with researching their background, then have a friend go with you for your first meeting. At the very, very least, tell a friend where and when you will be meeting this person and leave their name, phone number and profile information with your friend.
It will also be in your best interest, at the onset of an online relationship, to withhold from providing someone with your full name, address or any other information that could bring them, literally and possibly uninvited, to your doorstep.
